Historic Waterloo

Name: Edenhurst
Address: 109 John Street East
Year Built: ca. 1890
Architectural Styles: Waterloo Vernacular

A 1½-storey Waterloo Vernacular house, "Edenhurst" was originally the residence of Henry Schmidt (or Henry Smith). Schmidt was a labourer on George Moore's farm, which previously comprised the land in this vicinity. There are some modern additions that blend in reasonably well with the original building.
