This house may have been the residence of Georg (or George) Gleiser, who died on April 21, 1894. In the 1910s, William Bish was a tenant here. Four of his sons fought in World War I. One of them, Pte. Henry Godfrey Bish, was killed at Regina Trench; another, Pte. Edward Bish, was wounded twice and who was, at least according to the Waterloo Chronicle-Telegraph, once recommended for a Victoria Cross. Until recently the residence of artist Eldon Leis.
