Originally built for Aloyes Bauer, founder of Bauer Industries. In the early 1920s, this house was the residence of Edgar Bauer (later Sir Edgar Bauer when he was made a Knight of the Order of St. Sylvester, in 1957) and the boyhood home of his son, hockey hall-of-famer Bobby Bauer.
