This house was originally the residence of A. G. Haehnel, proprietor of A. G. Haehnel Pharmacy at 4 King Street South. From 1967 to 1992 it was the first home of Vincenzo's (called Italian Canadian Foods at the time), a well-known local Italian grocery store. The multi-coloured awning dates from this time.
