This two-storey Italianate house was built by carpenter William S. Kutt in 1888. It was acquired by Valentine Berlet, a tailor, in 1893 and by John A. Harper, who would reside in the house for over 30 years, in 1905. White siding now covers the original clapboard siding. The decorative window trim is of interest.
