In 1854, Emanuel Stauffer sold 200 acres of Lot 5, German Company Tract to William Moyer, who built this brick house shortly afterwards. The older portion of the house is built in the Mennonite Georgian style, with a gable roof and small attic windows. A Gothic Revival style addition was built sometime around 1874. In 1928, contractor Lincoln Stroh acquired Lanespark Farm and the house and made further additions to the house.
