Historic Waterloo

Address: 115 King Street North
Year Built: 1866
Architectural Styles: Italianate
Heritage Status: Designated (Part V)

A two-storey, three-bay Italianate house hugging the corner with Central Street. The first 1½ storeys are constructed of salmon brick and the top ½ storey of buff brick. Not sure whether this was because the top was a later addition or whether a new supplier of brick was required in the middle of construction, but the former seems more likely. Note the brackets under the eaves and the front entrance, altered by closing it in.
