The Wissler-Cascaden House is a two-storey house that faces directly eastward. It is built in the Georgian style. Its red brick is laid in Flemish bond. The portico at the front of the house was restored to its original appearance relatively recently. The windows are 12-over-12 on the first storey and 12-over-8 on the second; the small panes of glass are typical for an era where glass was expensive and fragile. There is a protruding horizontal binding course of stone between the first and second storeys. It was built for John Wissler, proprietor of the Eagle Tannery, an early industry in the village of Lexington.
